Project Manager Academy (2-days)
September 18 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
$597.00 – $727.00Every dollar, every deadline, every subcontractor, every stakeholder — it all runs through one person: the Project Manager.
Construction Project Managers are responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects, ensuring the full scope is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Successful construction projects are driven by effective project managers who build teams, provide transformational leadership, and navigate complex challenges. The best project managers are effective communicators able to provide closely coupled coordination and seamless resource allocation. However, construction project managers face labor shortages, leadership retirements, material cost escalation, and ever-increasing regulation. Increasing owner and other stakeholder expectations further challenges project managers.
Why This Course Matters
Successful management of construction projects requires technical knowledge and understanding, business acumen, and the proper mindset. It requires balancing technical execution, effective risk management, and transformational human leadership. The simplest construction project requires thoughtful planning and practical scheduling, close-coupled coordination, and implementation of reliable processes. Much of this is developed over time through experience. More importantly, the required knowledge, skills, and attitudes (KSAs) are acquired through intentional learning.
