Becoming the “Pro” in Bid Protests
May 7 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 am
$25.00Description:
Winning a public job is satisfying, exhilarating, and essential to a robust work pipeline. And losing a public bid is…well, the reverse. So, knowing how to protect your successful bid from challenge, and knowing when to challenge an apparent low bidder, are key tools for any contractor bidding public work. Whether you have considered challenging a public bid but did not know what is involved or want to better protect your bid against challenges and rejection, this course is for you.
This one-hour course will help you understand the legal aspects of public bidding, award, protests, and rejections. It will help you understand the difference between a material and non-material bid defect; between a waivable and non-waivable defect; between winning the contract and winning the right to re-bid. Attendees will learn when to identify bid concerns, how to protest, when to protest and—just as important—when not to protest. Your money is on the line, so reserve your spot now!
