The Corporate Transparency Act: What Companies Involved in Construction Need to Know
May 14 @ 8:00 am - 9:30 am
$25.00The Corporate Transparency Act is a new law that imposes certain reporting obligations on newly formed domestic and foreign companies. The beneficial ownership reporting will be made to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network of the U.S. Treasury Department (FinCEN) and be maintained in a registry. While the purpose of the act is to assist the government in combating illegal activity, the government is casting a wider net covering legally permissible and innocent conduct that, if not done in compliance with this statute, could get those same companies in trouble. This program will explain what the new law does, who is required to report under it, and what needs to be reported. With single purpose entities and new companies popping up in the construction industry all the time, this is a can’t miss program to stay ahead of the curve.
