Understanding New Revenue Recognition Standard (ASC 606) Impact on Company Financial Statements

FreeAccounting Standards Update 606 (“ASU 606”) drastically changed how companies recognize revenue. It also added new accounting terminology and required expanded footnote disclosures. Contractor financial statements, particularly construction-in-progress schedules, look very different from previous year statements. In this course, there will be a very brief overview of ASC 606’s impact on the construction industry and examples of changes to financial statements and footnote disclosures.
