SUMMARY:A CHANGE IS GONNA COME – WHAT OSHA’S RECENT POLICY REVISIONS MAY MEAN FOR THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY
DESCRIPTION:Join Saul Ewing’s Michael Metz-Topodas for a discussion on OSHA’s Recent Policy Revisions. \n  \nAlthough OSHA’s targeted construction hazards remain largely unchanged—falls\, cave-ins\, struck-by\, electrocution—its enforcement mechanisms have undergone enhancement in the past few months. Between increased inspector hirings\, modifications to the Severe Violator Enforcement Program\, and revisions to OSHA’s “instance-by-instance” violation policy\, safety enforcement could take on new dimensions this year and beyond. Michael Metz-Topodas will break down all of these changes an engaging and illustrative presentation\, then take your questions so you can prepare for this new OSHA environment\, all without losing focus on safety’s paramount importance to any construction project.

SUMMARY:Planning for the Day You Leave Your Business: Leadership for What Comes Next
DESCRIPTION:You started and nurtured your business into what it’s become today. The journey\, whether measured over several years or a lifetime\, has had its share of ups and downs. Sweat equity is something experienced first-hand and can be measured.\n\nMany owners work “in” versus “on” their business. They seldom take the time to step back and examine their business as an outsider. Have you contemplated what comes next? How should you lead the organization so that the business thrives and your legacy\, however defined\, continues?\n\n“Nothing is certain but death and taxes” is an adage we’ve all heard. But business owners can add a third certainty: you will leave your business one day. Join us on June 1st at 8:00am and learn about a framework to prepare for that inevitable day so that you can leave on your terms: when you want\, for the money you need\, to the people you know and trust.
