Bluebeam Revu is one of the most powerful tools in the AEC world\, providing markup\, take-off\, estimating\, design review\, punch list\, and collaboration tools all in one affordable system. All too often though\, end users are given the software without any type of formal training\, or support on how to access and use the tools they’re looking for. \n​ZenTek Consultants\, a certified Bluebeam Partner\, will show you the most effective means of using Bluebeam Revu\, so you can get the ROI you were hoping for. This eight (8) hour program is delivered in four (4)\, two-hour long sessions that students can attend online\, right from their own desk. DESCRIPTION:This course is designed to provide knowledge of blueprint reading as it relates to the architectural and building industry. This course will cover the theory of orthographic projections\, reading floor plans\, section and elevation drawings\, foundations\, floor plans\, elevations\, sections\, schedules\, means\, methods\, symbols and notations\, scaling and dimensioning practices\, reading blueprints for structural formation\,  and electrical; mechanical; and plumbing drawings. \nTOPICS INCLUDE: \n-Understand architectural and engineering scales\, dimension and area drawings \n-Distinguish between the different types of drawings \n-Learn civil\, architectural\, mechanical\, electrical\, plumbing\, HVAC\, and finish schedules \n-Know the difference between load and non-load bearing walls \n-Follow detailed views from main plan or drawing \n-Convert engineering dimensions to architectural \n-Understand different drawing types and their usage \n-Know what a floor plan\, section\, and elevation are \n-Understand symbols\, notations\, abbreviations\, and material schedules \n-Work with drawings on dimensions\, finishes\, details \n-Area calculations \nPROGRAM BENEFITS \n-Gain a knowledge of blueprint reading as it relates to building construction projects \n-Understand the design process and the role of design professionals \n-Be able to find trade information using blueprints \n-Be able to answer construction questions related to the layout and installation of materials at the jobsite \n-Be able to identify problems or short comings of the blueprints you are using \n  \n8 Week Class running every Tuesday September 10th – October 29th

SUMMARY:Construction Estimating (6 Week Course)
DESCRIPTION:This class will help the student to develop the necessary fundamental knowledge of the procedures\, materials\, equipment\, and practices needed when estimating for any trade discipline and/or type of construction. The class will also provide the fundamental knowledge of construction materials & processes that utilize these materials. One trade discipline and material category\, process and system is covered each week. These materials and processes are normally encountered by the student in the workplace. \nThis class provides a starting point for developing the mathematical skills necessary through practice and application to the construction trade. Calculations and quantities of volumes and areas will include trades such as concrete\, masonry and carpentry as well as others. \nThe class will provide hands-on detailed estimating procedures in which students learn how to estimate the general conditions of a construction project\, site work\, excavation\, concrete and masonry as well as other trade disciplines. This course also features hands-on estimating and quantity take off activities associated with Metals\, Wood\, Doors and Windows and Finishes as well as other types of materials. \nThis class will be held on Tuesday evenings from 4pm-7pm on the following dates: \nSeptember 10th\, 17th\, 24th\, October 1st\, 8th and 15th.
