SUMMARY:Don't Get Locked Out: What ABC Contractors Must Know About PLAs and RCOs
DESCRIPTION:Think a PLA automatically shuts you out of a project? Think again. \nProject Labor Agreements and Responsible Contractor Ordinances are reshaping the competitive landscape for contractors across Pennsylvania — and the rules are not what most people think. Misunderstanding them could mean leaving money on the table\, or worse\, walking away from projects you were fully entitled to bid. \nThis is the seminar you can’t afford to miss. \nJoin our ABC Eastern PA Chapter Attorney\, Jonathan Landesman\, Esquire\, for a fast-paced\, interactive deep dive into everything ABC contractors need to know about PLAs and RCOs. Jon and his team just scored a major\, precedent-setting courtroom victory challenging a PLA right here in Bucks County — and he’s bringing those hard-won insights straight to you. \nYou’ll walk away knowing: \n• What a PLA actually means for your ability to bid — and when it doesn’t mean “union only”\n• When a PLA crosses the legal line and can be challenged under Pennsylvania’s public bidding laws\n• The real-world impact of RCOs\, including apprenticeship program requirements that could affect your workforce \nThis isn’t theory. This is the freshest\, most actionable intelligence available — straight from the attorney who’s fighting these battles in court right now. \nDon’t let a misconception cost you your next contract. Register today. \nEDIT: This class is only being offered virtually now. Contact Kristen with any questions 484-926-4755. See you there! \n\nPresenter:\n\nJonathan Landesman\, Partner\nCohen Seglias Pallas Greenhall & Furman PC \nJon serves as General Counsel and Chair of the Labor & Employment Group\, representing businesses across a wide range of industries in all aspects of labor and employment law. His practice focuses on employment litigation\, workplace compliance\, labor relations\, and proactive strategies that help employers reduce risk and protect their businesses. Jon regularly advises clients on workplace policies\, employee handbooks\, wage and hour compliance\, FMLA matters\, restrictive covenant agreements\, and employment-related disputes\, including discrimination\, harassment\, wrongful termination\, and non-compete litigation.

SUMMARY:The 5 Biggest Mistakes Contractors Make to Kill their Own Claims
DESCRIPTION:You did the work. You deserve to get paid. So why are so many contractors leaving money on the table? \nThe mistakes that kill contractor claims aren’t made in the courtroom — they’re made on the jobsite\, every day\, by good contractors who just didn’t know better. This seminar is your chance to change that. \nJoin construction attorney J.T. Gallagher of Hendrick\, Phillips\, Salzman & Siegel\, P.C. as he breaks down the five most common — and costly — mistakes contractors make during a project that can sink an otherwise winning claim. Better yet\, he’ll show you exactly how to fix them. \nAnd this isn’t some attorney who only knows construction from a conference room. J.T. started out as a plumber’s helper in the Lehigh Valley\, earned his degree in Building Construction\, spent years in construction project management\, and then took his industry knowledge into the courtroom. He knows your world because he lived it. \nYou’ll walk away knowing how to protect yourself on: \n• Change orders and scope disputes\n• Differing site conditions\n• Delay and impact claims\n• Inefficiency claims \nThis is practical\, real-world advice you can put to work on your next project immediately. \nDon’t wait until you’re in a dispute to learn this. Register today. \nIn-person and virtual registration options available—select your preferred format when registering.\n\nPresenter:\n \nJ.T. Gallagher\, Esq.\, PartnerHendrick Phillips Salzman & Siegel\, P.C.
